According to the press service of the Samarkand region Department of Internal Affairs, on July 22 at around 23:30, a "Malibu-2" model car was stopped at the "Omonquton" permanent post in the Urgut district. This was reported by Upl.uz.
Due to the suspicious behavior of the car driver, during the document check, the traffic police officers decided to conduct a personal search. The search was carried out in the presence of witnesses.
As a result, a package containing hashish was found in the man's right pocket. Relevant documents were prepared regarding this incident.
The driver was detained and taken to the Urgut district Department of Internal Affairs. He may face criminal liability under the article of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan regarding "Illegal production, purchase, storage, and other actions with narcotic substances not intended for sale."
