The press service of the Prosecutor General's Office reported that a large amount of natural gas theft has been detected. This was reported by Upl.uz.
In cooperation with law enforcement officials and representatives of the gas supply organization, an inspection was conducted at the automobile gas filling compressor station owned by "O.G.O" LLC located in the Oltinkul district of Andijan region. The inspection revealed that the responsible individuals of this AGNKS had manipulated measuring devices to show a reduced consumption of natural gas.
According to preliminary calculations, the amount of damage caused is estimated at 13.8 billion soums. An investigation is underway regarding this case.
The criminals may face criminal liability under Article 169, Part 4 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which could result in a sentence of up to 15 years of imprisonment. This case requires serious accountability before the law.
