The Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis approved a draft law that creates a legal basis to assist women who are victims of various pressures and violence in finding employment. This was reported by Upl.uz.
According to the new regulation, these women will be given the opportunity to hold positions in state bodies and other budget organizations within the republic. According to the parliamentary press service, this initiative aims to strengthen the social protection system of society.
Deputies emphasize that creating guarantees for employment, especially for women in difficult situations, is one of the priority areas of state policy. This draft law formalizes a mechanism that was previously unregulated.
However, the employment process does not mean that a job will be automatically provided. Candidates must meet the qualification requirements for vacant positions.
The list of vacant job positions will be formed by local labor authorities and will mediate between women seeking jobs and state organizations. Additionally, the draft law grants women in need of social protection the right to register officially as "job seekers" at local labor authorities.
This status opens up opportunities to participate in state programs and is considered necessary to engage in the new initiative. In this way, the state aims to involve vulnerable groups in the official labor market, providing them not only temporary protection but also long-term economic stability.
The practical implementation of the law requires close cooperation between local authorities, rehabilitation and adaptation centers for women, and agencies that open vacant positions.
