
It is reported that low-quality medicines were seized in Tashkent city, according to the press service of the State Security Service. This was reported by Upl.uz.
Employees of the State Security Service conducted a special operational event in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies. During the event, a woman born in 1976, residing in Tashkent, was detained while attempting to sell 72,000 units of medicine for 111 million soums.
The detention process was carried out while an advance payment of 30 million soums was being accepted. A search conducted at the woman’s residence and in her vehicle revealed a total of 72,389 various medicines, biologically active supplements, and medical items.
The total value of these items amounted to 240 million soums. According to the expert conclusion, all seized medicines were of low quality and prohibited for sale in Uzbekistan.
Additionally, this individual did not comply with the established rules for storing and transporting medicines. A criminal case has been initiated regarding this matter, and investigative actions are ongoing.
