Recently, information spread on social media about a young man drowning in the "New Uzbekistan" park. This was reported by Upl.uz.
This incident was confirmed by the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan. According to available information, on July 31 at approximately 16:00, 23-year-old S.D.
was relaxing with a friend at the "Orzu sohil" recreation area located in the "New Uzbekistan" park in the Mirzo Ulugbek district. Around 16:25, one of the beach guests noticed S.D. with his head down in the water, motionless.
At that moment, a non-official rescuer went to help him, brought him to the shore, and immediately began cardiopulmonary resuscitation. After about ten minutes, a medical staff member from the park arrived and continued the resuscitation efforts.
However, the actions of witnesses and medical personnel were unsuccessful. The ambulance team that arrived later confirmed the young man's death.
According to preliminary information, the death occurred before their arrival. According to the initial conclusion of the forensic expert, the cause of death was asphyxia due to drowning.
Criminalists examined the scene and collected water samples for analysis. Currently, preliminary investigative actions are being carried out regarding this incident.
