The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan reported information about a fire that occurred in Surkhandarya region. This was reported by Upl.uz.
On August 4, at approximately 03:00, the Surkhandarya regional emergency management received a report of a fire on the first and second floors of a shopping center located in the "Bobotog" neighborhood of the Shurchi district. At 03:15, firefighting and rescue services arrived at the scene and began to combat the fire.
The fire engulfed a large area of the building, so 10 firefighting and rescue teams and 2 fire trucks were involved in extinguishing it. The fire was localized at 05:10 and completely extinguished by 07:30.
No one was injured as a result of the fire. Currently, the causes of the fire and the amount of material damage are being determined.
