According to the information program "Rapid Image" of the Tashkent city police department, a criminal case related to the theft of cash has been opened. This was reported by Upl.uz.
On the night of June 21 of this year, around 02:20, two citizens entered the office of an organization in the Mirabad district and stole a safe from there. The criminals threw the safe out of the window and loaded it into their "Gentra" brand car.
Later, they went to one of the criminals' homes, cut open the safe with a corner saw, and took away 560 thousand US dollars. The safe also contained two flash drives and various documents.
After opening the safe, the criminals attempted to hide the evidence by throwing it into a canal flowing through the city area. As a result of the conducted rapid measures, the identities of the criminals were identified.
One of them tried to escape to Kyrgyzstan but was detained in one of the hotels in Andijan city. From the criminals, 440 thousand US dollars and a new "Honda" motorcycle purchased with the stolen money were found.
A criminal case has been initiated under the article "Theft" of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan regarding this incident. Currently, the investigation is ongoing.
