
A person who was trying to sell a 72.6 sotik non-residential land plot in the Bo‘stonliq district of Tashkent region for 1 million dollars was detained. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It was noted that an operation was conducted on March 12 in the Bektemir district of Tashkent city. During this operation, a person born in 1992, who was engaged in real estate activities, was detained. He was trying to sell a 72.6 sotik non-residential land plot in the Bo‘stonliq district of Tashkent region for 1 million dollars.
Additionally, he demanded 100 thousand dollars in exchange for changing the category of this land plot from non-residential to residential and obtaining the necessary permits and documents for the construction of a multi-storey residential building through acquaintances in high positions within a month. He was detained when he received an advance payment of 110 thousand dollars.
Moreover, in a rapid operation conducted in the Olmazor district of Tashkent city, a person who demanded a large sum of money in exchange for terminating enforcement documents being processed by the MIB for a debt was detained. He was caught when he demanded 25 thousand dollars in exchange for terminating enforcement documents for a citizen's debt of 647 million soums and lifting the travel ban imposed on leaving Uzbekistan.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated against the suspect under part 4 "a" of Article 168 of the Criminal Code (fraud in a large amount) and part 3 "a" of Article 211 (bribery in a large amount), and a preventive measure of detention has been applied against the suspect.
