
According to the press service of the Tashkent city Internal Affairs Directorate, a person related to drug trafficking has been detained. This was reported by Upl.uz.
A special operational event was conducted in cooperation with the internal affairs bodies and other law enforcement agencies. During the event, a search was carried out in the apartment of a citizen born in 1989 in the Mirzo Ulugbek district.
In the dormitory room, a drug called hashish and electronic scales were found and documented as material evidence. It was revealed that this person intended to buy a batch of drugs with the money obtained from selling his car and aimed to profit from reselling it.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 273, part five of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan regarding this case. This article refers to illegal production, acquisition, storage, and other actions for the purpose of selling drugs.
The person suspected of committing the crime may face a penalty of up to 20 years of imprisonment. Currently, investigative actions are ongoing, and legal measures are being taken.
This case is seen as an important part of the fight against drug trafficking.
