According to our Constitution, parents are obliged to support and educate their children until they reach adulthood. Child support is collected from a parent (or guardian) who has voluntarily failed to fulfill their obligation to provide for their minor children based on a court decision.
At the beginning of this year, there were a total of 9,163 enforcement documents related to the collection of child support for minors in the district (city) departments of the Sirdaryo region branch of the Mandatory Enforcement Bureau, amounting to 83.8 billion soums. During the past period of this year, 9.6 billion soums of child support funds have been collected for the support of minors.
At the same time, the issue of accountability for debtors who have evaded payment of child support has been addressed, and measures to ensure the inevitability of punishment in this regard are being implemented.
