On August 13, at around 13:00, a report was received by the Surkhandarya regional emergency management about a fire at a liquefied gas filling station located in the "Okkurgon" neighborhood of the Shurchi district. At 13:07, eight fire and rescue teams arrived at the scene and began to extinguish the fire.
Within one minute, the fire was localized, and by 13:16 it was completely extinguished. According to preliminary information, the fire occurred due to a violation of technological rules during the process of filling propane gas through a tanker.
The exact causes of the fire and the amount of material damage will be determined during the investigation. Leaders of the regional and district emergency management agencies arrived at the scene.
The emergency management agency did not provide information about any casualties.
