The Starlink service, owned by SpaceX, has postponed its launch date in Uzbekistan once again. This was reported by Upl.uz.
According to the official website, the launch of satellite internet service is now planned for 2026. This delay is not the first.
Initially, Starlink was expected to start operating in Uzbekistan in 2023. Later, this date was moved to 2025, and now it has been postponed by another year.
On the interactive map, Uzbekistan, as well as neighboring Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, are shown as regions where the service will be available in 2026. The exact reasons for the delays are not yet known.
However, experts emphasize that technical, legal, and regulatory issues may be the cause. In 2022, SpaceX representatives stated their readiness to implement large projects in Uzbekistan.
Nevertheless, additional preparations are currently required to launch the service. At the same time, the launch of Starlink in the country is expected to be an important step in developing the internet infrastructure.
Users will have the opportunity to access high-speed and reliable internet. However, waiting until the planned date will be necessary.
Negotiations between the company and the government are ongoing, and updated information is expected to be provided in the future.
