
Cases of illegal religious education for material gain have been identified in Namangan region, the press service of the State Security Service reports. This was reported by Upl.uz.
Special rapid operations were conducted by officers of the State Security Service. During these operations, it was revealed that a person born in 1995, living in Namangan city, illegally taught religious knowledge to several people in a multi-storey building on Balikchi street.
It was also found that a woman born in 1974, living in the “Ma’rifat” neighborhood of Namangan city, provided religious education to 14 minors and charged each 1.5 million soms. In Yangi-Namangan district, a person born in 1983, living in the “Mehnatobod” neighborhood, illegally taught 10 minor girls and 3 adult citizens.
Additionally, a 48-year-old citizen living in the “Mashad” neighborhood of Uychi district conducted religious classes for children. Similar violations were also committed by two citizens born in 1975 and 1981, living in Turakurgon and Namangan districts.
Measures were taken against all individuals engaged in illegal religious activities, as well as parents who failed to fulfill their responsibilities in raising their children, in accordance with current legislation. Officials emphasized that in our country, all conditions are created for receiving religious education alongside secular education.
Therefore, parents cannot entrust their children to individuals providing illegal and suspicious religious education.
