Residents of Almazar district express their dissatisfaction with the dogs roaming the streets. This was reported by Upl.uz.
Recently, a law titled "On the Identification, Registration, and Monitoring of Animals" was adopted in Uzbekistan. This law mandates the compulsory registration of pet owners.
However, these measures do not allow control over the dogs living on the streets. For example, in the Russian Federation, there is a practice of capturing, sterilizing, and microchipping street dogs.
After these procedures, the dogs are returned to the streets with a special mark. Through these marks, people can know the dog's safety and vaccination status.
The capital's residents are also facing the problem of street dogs. In the "Ziyokor" neighborhood citizens' assembly area of Almazar district, street dogs have gathered near a children's playground.
Every night and until dawn, groups of dogs stay near the playground, showing aggressive behavior towards passersby and children. Residents of neighboring houses are concerned about the situation.
Although they have appealed to the relevant authorities several times, the problem has not been resolved. Citizens living in this area emphasize that this residential complex was built in 2020 by the order of Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The houses they live in are mainly intended for scientists and educators. Serious attention must be paid to the issue of street dogs for the safety and peace of the residents.
