The press service of the Tashkent Region Department of Internal Affairs commented on the video circulating on social networks. This was reported by Upl.uz.
On August 25, 2024, a woman born in 1979, residing in Akkurgan district of Tashkent region, asked for the exact address of a citizen living in the "Oydinobod" neighborhood. However, the local residents could not provide an answer to the woman's request, surrounded her, and asked what she was doing near the houses.
The woman's explanations were not found satisfactory by the local residents, who insulted her and accused her of intending to kidnap a child. Other citizens recorded the incident on video and spread it on social networks, misinterpreting the facts.
Regarding this incident, administrative protocols were drawn up against seven individuals under the "Petty hooliganism" article of the Administrative Liability Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The case has been sent to court and is under review for a lawful decision.
