Information was provided by the Press Service of the Department under the General Prosecutor's Office about the cessation of illegal tobacco product circulation. This was reported by Upl.uz.
A special rapid operation was conducted by the staff of the General Prosecutor's Department in Zangiota district. During the operation, two individuals were caught attempting to sell 240 boxes of electronic cigarettes for a total of 52.8 million soums.
Various types of electronic tobacco products, with a total value of 84.7 million soums, were confiscated from them as evidence. A criminal case was initiated under the article of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan concerning the "Illegal circulation or production of ethanol spirit, alcohol, and tobacco products."
Investigation activities are currently underway.
