The procedure for leasing land intended for agriculture has been changed
A presidential decree has been adopted on "Additional measures to increase the efficiency of land use in agriculture and to increase the volume of product production".
According to the decree, starting from March 11, 2025, the following procedures will be implemented for leasing all types of land intended for agriculture:
- the deadline for announcing the electronic online auction sale notification will be reduced from 15 days to 5 days, and in repeated auctions – from 5 days to 1 day;
- in repeated auctions, if only one application is received from a bidder, they will be offered to voluntarily purchase the lot at the price announced in this auction;
- in each repeated auction, the lot price will be gradually reduced until it reaches 20 percent of the starting price from 10 percent.
From April 1, 2025, the procedure for making payments in installments for obtaining the right to lease a land plot at auction will be canceled, and it will be stipulated that these payments must be fully made within 15 working days.
In 2025-2026, an average of 10-20 percent of the total area of agricultural land to be auctioned will be sold on the condition of planting fodder crops for livestock.
