At a briefing held at the AOKA, Mavluda Nizomova, head of the Family and Women’s Committee, provided information on the activities being carried out in connection with May 15 - International Family Day:
A commission has been established to review proposals for awarding the “Exemplary Family” badge, consisting of 40 members from representatives of ministries and agencies.
Regional commissions and ministries have recommended documents for nearly 5,500 families for this badge.
The number of applicant families has increased by 8.8 times compared to last year. These candidate families were studied by a working group consisting of more than 40 active members and reputable experts, and 2,000 families were selected as deserving families for the badge.
This year, based on new approaches, ministries and agencies were asked to recommend candidates, and 77 families recommended by them will also be awarded this badge.
During the celebrations on the eve of May 15 - International Family Day, these families will receive the “Exemplary Family” badge and cash prizes, and a prestigious sign will be installed at the entrance of their homes and residences.
Efforts will continue to engage 4 million women and girls in mass sports competitions, and sports marathons and "Sport Festivals" will be organized under the slogan “Let’s unite for a healthy family!”
On May 15, “Family Festivals” (“OILAFEST”) will be organized in the parks of all district (city) centers of the republic with the participation of holders of the “Exemplary Family” badge, harmonious families, and young brides and grooms.
