On May 14, a large fire occurred in the Sergeli district of Tashkent city. According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, a report was received at 11:03 about a fire occurring in a warehouse located on Nilufar Street in the Sergeli district.
In order to respond quickly to the emergency situation, 12 fire and rescue teams arrived at the scene at 11:05 and began efforts to extinguish the fire.
The fire was brought under control in approximately one hour. Specifically, by 12:15 the fire was surrounded, and by 13:31 it was completely extinguished.
The Minister of Emergency Situations Botir Qudratxo‘jayev and his first deputy Sanjar Zuparov personally led the efforts to extinguish the fire at the scene.
According to some reports, there have been no reports of injuries or casualties as a result of the fire in the warehouse. Currently, relevant services are conducting investigations and inquiries regarding the causes of the fire and the total amount of damage incurred.
This incident once again reminds the population of the necessity to strictly adhere to fire safety rules.
