A citizen who illegally kept a rare bird in Fergana was detained

A citizen who illegally kept a rare bird in Fergana region has been detained, reports the Ministry of Ecology.
According to it, the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change's Ecological Control Inspection identified through social networks that a citizen I.I. was illegally keeping and selling a desert lark (shahin) bird.
In connection with the incident, measures to prevent the violation were carried out by the Fergana Regional Ecology Department, the regional police department, and the regional prosecutor's office, and the violator was detained.
For your information, the desert lark is a bird belonging to the family of larks and is listed in the Red Book of Uzbekistan. For illegally taking it from nature, a fine of 1500 times the minimum wage (562 million 500 thousand soums) is imposed in accordance with Appendix 14 of the Cabinet of Ministers' decision No. 290 dated October 20, 2014, and since the amount of damage exceeds 300 times the minimum wage, the case will be considered by law enforcement agencies in a criminal manner.
