Employees of the State Security Service and specialists from the customs department inspected the home of a citizen born in 1985 in the Bukhara district and the vehicle belonging to him. During the inspection, a total of 978 drug items were found and confiscated without documents confirming their quality and origin.
Among the confiscated drugs were “Imudon,” “Tserebrolizin,” “Dofamin,” “Maaloks,” and 78 other types of drugs. Additionally, this individual identified a citizen born in 1962 from Bukhara city as an accomplice in crime.
According to the conclusion of the Pharmaceutical Safety Center of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, 32 of the identified drugs were not registered in the state registry, 57 did not have compliance certificates, 6 were found to be of poor quality, and 4 were identified as counterfeit drugs. Furthermore, it was determined that the criminals did not comply with the rules for storing drugs, which could harm consumers' health.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan regarding this incident. This article addresses violations of quality requirements in the production, purchase, storage, and sale of drugs, as well as the illegal sale of prescription drugs related to potent substances.
It has been reported that the criminals distributed these drugs in Bukhara city and the districts of Shofirkon, Peshku, and Ramitan. Investigative actions regarding the incident are ongoing.
