On Wednesday evening, the "Barcelona" club officially announced the addition of English striker Marcus Rashford to the team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Thus, Marcus became the first English footballer in the Catalan club since Gary Lineker. Gary Lineker left "Barcelona" in 1989 to join "Tottenham."
Since then, there have been no English footballers in the Catalan team for 36 years. Lineker played for "Barcelona" from 1986 to 1989.
Last season, Marcus Rashford played for two clubs – "Manchester United" and "Aston Villa." In winter, under coach Ruben Amorim, he fell out of the team and was loaned to the Birmingham club to gain playing experience.
This decision helped him continue his career. Now he will open a new chapter with "Barcelona" and aims to contribute to the team.
