The head coach of the Orenburg football club, Vladimir Slishkovich, spoke about his work in the new season. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He emphasized that in previous seasons the team played in a 4-3-3 formation, but this approach has changed in the current season. According to the coach, working with a scheme that does not suit the players is illogical and even tantamount to self-destruction.
For this reason, he is developing a new tactic taking into account the players' capabilities and strengths. Last season, the Orenburg team finished in fifteenth place in the Russian Premier League and was relegated from the top league.
However, due to the disqualification of the Moscow "Torpedo" club for attempting to organize fixed matches, Orenburg was returned to the top league. In the first round match held at the beginning of the season, the Orenburg team played against CSKA and ended the game in a 0:0 draw, which was unexpected for many.
The team aims to strengthen its position and achieve high results in the new season.
