Serbian famous tennis player Novak Djokovic has joined the ranks of the owners of France's Le Mans football club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Local media outlets are reporting on this. The Le Mans club participates in the second division of French football.
Now Djokovic will be among the official owners of this club. Alongside Novak Djokovic, two other famous race car drivers are also participating in this project.
They are Brazilian Felipe Massa and Danish Kevin Magnussen. The main goal of the project organizers is to combine different sports such as football and auto racing, showcasing their similarities.
This is because the city of Le Mans is known worldwide for its 24-hour auto racing marathon. Novak Djokovic entered this business along with his friend Yorgos Frangulis, who is the friend of the world's number one female tennis player Arina Sobolenko.
Yorgos Frangulis is the CEO of Oakberry company. This company is investing in the club through the Brazilian OutField investment fund.
Thus, the Le Mans football club will continue its activities with new partners and investors.
