Football expert Aleksandr Grishin shared his opinion about the formation of the extended squad of the Russian national team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, the main goal of the national team is to select strong players. In September, the national team will hold its next training camp.
In an interview with the "Match TV" channel, Grishin said he does not understand the logic of including many players in the extended list. In his opinion, only the strongest players should be called up, as this motivates them to maintain their strength.
It should be noted that currently, 39 players are included in the extended squad of the national team. In September, the Russian national team will play two friendly matches.
They will face the national teams of Jordan and Qatar. The national team is coached by Valery Karpin.
These matches serve to improve the team's level of preparation.
