Spartak's championship chances in doubt

Former owner of the "Spartak" club, Andrey Chervichenko, shared his thoughts on the "red-white" team's prospects in the current season of the Russian championship. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to him, it is highly doubtful that "Spartak" will win the championship by the end of the season. The team being seven points behind the leader is a significant gap, and the last two victories are not enough to change this situation.

The expert emphasized that recently head coach Dejan Stanković has been acting somewhat more calmly, but this is a temporary state, a rest before the next failure. After six rounds of the championship, "Spartak" is in eighth place with a total of eight points.

The team's current condition and results indicate difficulties in climbing to higher positions. Therefore, there is little confidence that "Spartak" will be among the strong contenders by the end of the season.
