Medvedev explained his departure from Zenit's management

After Zenit defeated Pari NN 2-0, the club unexpectedly announced that chairman Aleksandr Medvedev would be stepping down. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

Now, Konstantin Zyryanov has been appointed as the new chairman of the St. Petersburg club, while Medvedev will become his advisor. Medvedev commented on the change in position, emphasizing, "This tree still makes noise."

Currently, Zenit is in fourth place in the current Russian Championship standings. However, the competition schedule has just begun, so the team's position may change for the worse.

Zenit's next Russian Premier League match will be held on September 14 at Baltika's home ground. The club is seriously preparing for upcoming games and striving to achieve high results.

The club's management and coaching staff will continue to work effectively under the new leadership. Fans hope the team will succeed in their upcoming matches.
