The “Lille” club, currently in third place in the French championship, has officially announced the signing of left-back Calvin Verdonk from the “NEC Nijmegen” team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The club's official website reported this. Verdonk was born in the Netherlands and has mostly played for local teams during his professional career, including the “Feyenoord” club.

However, despite being 28 years old, he represents the Indonesian national team at the international level. The Indonesian national team is ranked 118th in the FIFA rankings.

Additionally, 11 years ago, he became a European champion with the Netherlands youth national team. Last season, Verdonk appeared in 36 club matches, received 10 yellow cards, scored 1 goal, and made 1 assist.

In the new season, he has participated in 4 matches and provided 1 assist. His addition to the team is an important strength for “Lille” and will help strengthen the defensive line.

The cooperation between the club and the player is expected to be successful.
