Boyarintsev: Akron's second season will be difficult

Former Russian national team and Moscow “Spartak” player Denis Boyarintsev shared his thoughts about the new season of Tolyatti's “Akron” team in the Russian championship. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to him, in the first season every new player strives to prove themselves, so they can show good results. However, the second season is always more challenging.

Now higher skill and class are required from the players, but currently the team lacks these qualities, Boyarintsev said in an interview with Metaratings.ru. The “Akron” team was established in 2018.

Two years later, they took first place in one zone of the second division. At the end of the 2023-2024 season, the team secured promotion to the top league by defeating Yekaterinburg's “Ural” club in the playoff matches held for the national football elite.

In their first season in the Russian Premier League, “Akron” took ninth place, while in the current season they are in thirteenth position. The team's results and performance in the new season are being closely followed by football fans.
