Karpen Sobolev explained why he was not called up to the national team

Russia national team head coach Valeriy Karpin commented on the fact that Zenit Saint Petersburg forward Aleksandr Sobolev was not called up to the national team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to the specialist, Sobolev has not yet been included in the national team. Speaking about him, Sobolev's condition is satisfactory, and he is working on himself.

It should be recalled that two friendly matches for the Russia national team are scheduled for September. Karpin's players will face the national teams of Jordan and Qatar.

These matches will take place on September 4 and 7. Since February 2022, Russia has been banned from international competitions.

Therefore, the national team can only participate in friendly matches. This situation has imposed restrictions on the national team's activities on the international stage.

Nevertheless, the team continues its work and is preparing for the future.
