The Newcastle club hopes to avoid selling players without a new plan. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The club management made every effort to retain Alexander Isak, but the player did not change his decision and managed to transfer to Liverpool. The Swedish player refused to participate in training and play in matches, forcing the club management to approve the sale.
According to the iPaper publication, Newcastle leaders plan to extend contracts with Sandro Tonali and Sven Botman to prevent similar situations with other key players. Alexander Isak's transfer to Liverpool cost 144 million euros without bonuses.
Nevertheless, the Newcastle club is dissatisfied with the situation related to the forward's sale. Although this event brought significant financial income to the club, it created an unsatisfactory situation in terms of team balance and future plans.
For this reason, the management is paying special attention to strengthening contracts with other important players.
