Samuel Umtiti ends his career due to knee issues

Former Barcelona and France national team footballer Samuel Umtiti is planning to end his career. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

L’Equipe reports on this matter. According to sources, the defender has decided to leave professional football due to problems with his knee.

During the last season, Umtiti did not play in any matches for Lille because he underwent surgery twice. Currently, the player has not been able to find a suitable club and intends to end his career by September 10.

The existing offers do not suit him. The 31-year-old defender has won the La Liga championship twice.

In 2018, he became a World Cup champion as part of the France national team. He is currently a free agent.
