The Brazil national team defeated Chile 3-0 in the 2026 World Cup qualifying stage. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Two players from the "Selecao" team, Zenit club defender Douglas Santos and forward Luis Enrique, took to the field. Alexander Medvedev, advisor to the chairman of Zenit's management, shared his opinion on this matter.
Medvedev congratulated Santos and Enrique on their successful performances and emphasized that their play in the Brazil national team reflects the level of the Russian Premier League. He also mentioned that Douglas played the entire match and made an assist, while Luis was on the field for half an hour and provided a brilliant assist from the left wing after a great run.
He noted that due to the level of these two players and the quality of our country's championship, they were able to perform like this. It should be recalled that the Brazil national team had already secured qualification for the 2026 World Cup in June.
The tournament will be held next summer in Canada, the USA, and Mexico.
