Iran embassy denies rumors about Ronaldo

Al-Nasr team's star forward Cristiano Ronaldo missed the match against the Iranian team in the AFC Champions League. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

Some sources stated that the reason the 40-year-old Portuguese footballer did not go to Iran was related to an incident involving a disabled girl. In 2023, Ronaldo hugged and kissed a disabled girl, which is prohibited under Iranian law.

There were rumors in Iran that Cristiano could be imprisoned or punished with a bow. However, the Iranian embassy responded to this situation.

They firmly denied that any foreign athlete has ever been punished by Iranian courts. They stated that the sincere and humane meeting between Cristiano Ronaldo and Fateme Hamami was highly appreciated by the country's population and sports organizations.

Al-Nasr team will play their next match on Friday, March 7, against Al-Shabab in the Saudi Arabian championship. This match will be an important opportunity for Ronaldo.

Overall, the situation is being resolved positively within the scope of sports and human values.
