Martin Odegaard, the midfielder of London’s Arsenal football club, responded to critics. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The Norwegian footballer continues to wear the captain's armband at the club, although according to many opinions, head coach Mikel Arteta was supposed to choose a new captain before the start of the current season. Odegaard expressed his opinion as follows: Such talks do not affect me.

It is natural for everyone to have their own opinion. I do not take into account what others say.

There are always positive and negative sides, they can affect you. The important thing is, as I have done throughout my career, not to pay attention to rumors, said the 26-year-old footballer in an interview with Arsenal News Channel.

Martin Odegaard participated in three of Arsenal’s matches in the new season of the English Premier League. He started in two of them.

The footballer continues to play an important role for the team and proves himself in the captaincy role.
