Ivan de la Penya is considered Lamin Yamal's former agent. The plan of the Munich team was to bring the player's family to Germany, wait for Lamin to turn 16, and provide a compensation payment of about 5 million euros.
According to the "Bavaria" management, they had an advantage while other European clubs had not yet fully realized Lamin's talent. However, the contract was not finalized at the last stage because the famous agent Jorge Mendes intervened.
