Former Liverpool and Germany national team player Dietmar Hamann commented on the current head coach of Manchester City, Josep Guardiola. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to Hamann, the Spanish specialist has stayed in his position for a long time. He recalled that Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp managed the club for eight years before taking a break.
Hamann acknowledges that Guardiola is still working at Manchester City, but he does not see him achieving a major victory in the English Premier League or the Champions League anytime soon. The expert also noted that there are many players who have been with Manchester City for many years, but it is becoming difficult to ignite new spirit and passion among them.
This negatively affects the team's results. Guardiola has won a total of eighteen trophies with the Manchester club over eleven years, including six league titles and one Champions League victory.
Nevertheless, Hamann said he does not see new achievements in his career.
