Real Madrid defender Antonio Rüdiger has suffered an injury to the rectus femoris muscle of his left leg. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

This was announced by journalist Arancha Rodriguez on her social media page. The defender's recovery process will take approximately three months, so he will return to the field only in winter.

Real Madrid will play their next La Liga match on Saturday, September 13. The team's next opponent will be Real Sociedad.

So far, the "Blues" have completed the first three rounds of the championship undefeated, without losing any points. Antonio Rüdiger has played 157 matches for Real Madrid to date, scoring seven goals and providing assists to four teammates.

His injury is a significant loss for the team, and coach Xabi Alonso will need to take measures to strengthen the defense.
