Braithwaite: Messi Should Not Have Left Barcelona Like That

Former player of Spain's "Barcelona" football club Martin Braithwaite recalled Argentine forward Lionel Messi's departure from his main club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to him, this event was very strange for him. People were expecting Leo to sign a new contract, but he suddenly left the club.

Messi did not deserve such a separation. It would have been very good if he had returned to the "Camp Nou" stadium for a farewell match.

He deserves that, Braithwaite said in an interview with a Danish publication. Messi left the "blaugrana" team in the summer of 2021.

Later, he spent two seasons at France's "PSG" club. Currently, the 38-year-old footballer plays for the United States' "Inter Miami" team.
