Arteta: Edegor will not play against Athletic

London's Arsenal team head coach Mikel Arteta made a statement about the condition of team captain Martin Ødegaard. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to Sky Sports, the coach confirmed that the Norwegian player will not participate in the match against Athletic on Tuesday as part of the Champions League. Ødegaard had been injured twice in the last four rounds of the English Premier League.

Recently, in the match against Nottingham Forest (3:0), he injured his previously painful shoulder once again. This injury occurred after the player fell following a collision with a teammate.

The match between Athletic and Arsenal will take place on Tuesday, September 16, in Bilbao as part of the first round of the UEFA Champions League group stage. Arsenal will start this competition without two key players, but there is also positive news within the team.
