Benjamin Mendy joined the Polish club Pogon

Former Manchester City and France national team defender Benjamin Mendy has joined the Polish club Pogon, the Szczecin team's press service announced. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

Mendy has played for several clubs during his career. He was trained at the Le Havre academy and has played for Marseille, Monaco, Manchester City, Lorient, and Zurich clubs.

He left the Swiss club Zurich last summer. Mendy is currently 31 years old.

His career as a left-back was negatively affected by a serious controversy related to allegations of sexual assault. The Transfermarkt portal estimates his current market value at one million euros.

His highest value reached 45 million euros. In 2017, he was transferred from Monaco to Manchester City for nearly 60 million euros.
