The opening match of the Champions League took place in the first round. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

In it, the “Copenhagen” team hosted “Bayer.” In the ninth minute of the game, Thomas Delaney made a strong diagonal pass to the left wing.

Mohamed Elyas Achouri reached the ball and made an accurate pass into the penalty area. Jordan Larsson placed the ball into the far corner and opened the score – 1:0.

At the end of the first half, Mohamed Elyounoussi entered the penalty area from the right wing and tried to pass to the center. The ball bounced over the goalkeeper, hit the goalpost, and went out.

Larsson again entered the penalty area from the right wing and made a pass to the center. Youssoufa Moukoko targeted the goal without obstruction, but the goalkeeper saved the ball.

In the second half, Copenhagen’s attack ended with Elyounoussi’s shot from an awkward angle, the ball passing slightly to the right of the goalpost. From the guests’ side, Eliesse Ben Seghir brought the ball to his right foot in front of the opponent’s penalty area and struck powerfully to the far corner, but the ball hit the goalpost and crossed the goal line.

In the counterattack, Elyounoussi struck the ball from a free kick to the goal corner, but the goalkeeper jumped up and deflected the ball. Jarell Quansah was in the opponent’s penalty area and, after a pass from Lucas Vasquez, passed to Patrik Schick, but the goalkeeper saved the Czech player’s attempt.

In the counterattack, Rodrigo Huescas shot from inside the penalty area, but the goalkeeper saved the ball low. In the 82nd minute, Alejandro Grimaldo took a free kick, sending the ball over the wall and placing it in the near corner – 1:1.

In the final minutes of the game, Huescas made a soft pass into the penalty area following a pass from Joram Zagan, and Vinicius Robert headed the ball into the net – 2:1. Later, Claudio Echeverri entered the penalty area from the left wing, bypassed two opponents, and made a pass in front of the goal.

Defender Pantelis Hatsidiakos directed the ball into his own goal – 2:2. The final score of the game between Copenhagen and Bayer was 2:2.

This match ensured a draw between the rivals and brought important points to both teams. The players made effective use of their opportunities, making it an exciting contest for the fans.
