According to the Diario AS publication, Real Madrid is currently not conducting any negotiations to extend Vinicius's contract. According to the source, talks were halted after Xabi Alonso joined the team.

In the last meeting, Vinicius agreed to significantly reduce his financial demands and the contract was nearly finalized. However, the situation changed after the World Cup was held.
