Arteta: Arsenal is behind Liverpool
London's Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta commented on his team's position behind Liverpool in the Premier League standings. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
On Sunday, the "Gunners" drew 1-1 at home against Manchester City and scored an important goal in extra time. A day earlier, Liverpool won the derby against Everton with a score of 2-1.
Arne Slot's team leads undefeated with 15 points after five rounds. Arsenal is second in the table but trails the leader by five points.
In an interview with the press, Arteta emphasized that it is impossible to control Liverpool winning every match. Despite the difficult situation, he said that if the team shows a good result like in the game against Manchester City, everything will be fine.
In the next round, Liverpool will play away against Crystal Palace, while Arsenal will travel to Newcastle.
