Guardiola: I want to celebrate the draw with Arsenal

Josep Guardiola is now also applying a closed football style. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

In the latest match against Arsenal (1:1), Guardiola set a personal coaching anti-record in ball possession during national league games. Additionally, in the second half, he switched to a system consisting of five defenders.

At the press conference held on Monday, the Manchester City coach was asked to comment on this topic. Guardiola said: “Last season, we regained many things we were missing.

Our team has a great spirit. Of course, we cannot and do not strive to play like we did against Arsenal throughout the entire season.

However, I respect a strong and wonderful opponent. In many matches, they force their rivals to play in their own way.

I want to celebrate the away draw against Arsenal. This team reached the Champions League semi-finals last season and has been competing for the English Premier League title in recent years.

I value this point.”
