Lovchev: "Spartak" game is disappointing

Sports23:28, 26-09-2025

Former Moscow “Spartak” team and USSR national team defender Yevgeniy Lovchev criticized the “red-whites” team’s performance in the 2025/2026 season. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The team led by Deyan Stankovich is currently in sixth place in the league table after nine rounds, trailing the leader “Krasnodar” by four points. The expert said on “Match Premier” that he is ashamed to watch “Spartak’s” game.

He emphasized that it is not good that the team is not losing, but during times of despair, the coach should be replaced. At the same time, Lovchev stated that demanding Stankovich’s resignation is wrong because the team roster has not yet been fully formed.

Previously, the club regularly brought in new players. In the tenth round, on September 28, “Spartak” will host “Pari NN,” who are second to last in the league table.

The match will start at 19:30 Moscow time.
