
On Monday at midnight Moscow time, two more tickets for the World Cup were allocated. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
These tickets were awarded to the national teams of England and Saudi Arabia. The following national teams will participate in the 2026 World Cup: Canada, Mexico, USA, Japan, New Zealand, Iran, Argentina, Uzbekistan, South Korea, Jordan, Australia, Brazil, Ecuador, Uruguay, Colombia, Paraguay, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Algeria, Ghana, Cape Verde, South Africa, Qatar, England, and Saudi Arabia.
There are three national teams on this list that have not previously participated in the World Cup – Uzbekistan, Jordan, and Cape Verde. The 2026 World Cup will be held in three countries – Canada, Mexico, and the USA.
The national teams of these countries qualified directly for the tournament without going through the qualification stage. A total of 48 national teams will participate in the 2026 World Cup.
This tournament will be the first in terms of the number of participants. Previous World Cups had 32 teams participating.
