FIFA listens to Trump's World Cup proposal

US President Donald Trump stated that he can easily convince FIFA President Gianni Infantino to move the 2026 World Cup matches to other cities if security issues arise. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

FIFA, however, stated that the decision regarding the venues for the matches will be made solely by FIFA. At the same time, the organization emphasized its readiness to listen to Trump's opinions.

According to a FIFA representative, security and protection are the top priorities in all FIFA competitions. The responsibility for security lies with the governments, which make the most appropriate decisions to ensure public safety.

The 2026 World Cup will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. These three countries are preparing to jointly organize the tournament.

Cooperation between FIFA and the host countries continues to ensure security. Additionally, creating a safe and peaceful environment for all participants and fans is considered the most important task.
