Referee Chalabyan was disqualified for three years

Referee Xoren Chalabyan has been sanctioned for attempting to organize a fixed match. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

An application was submitted to the Control and Disciplinary Committee of the Russian Football Union regarding this matter. According to the published information, in April 2023, this referee officiated a match in the Youth Football League.

The match was between the Krasnodar and Ural teams. The referee admitted to acting as an intermediary in organizing the fixed match at that time.

Artur Grigoryants, head of the Disciplinary Committee of the Russian Football Union, stated in an interview with “Match TV” that Chalabyan is banned from participating in any football activities for three years. It was also noted that Chalabyan has the right to appeal the decision.

This measure is aimed at ensuring honesty and fairness in the field of football.
