Pirlo's assistant: Ronaldo was not suitable for the game

Andrea Pirlo's former assistant Alparslan Erden shared memories of their time working together at Juventus. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

He spoke about the incompatibility between Pirlo and Cristiano Ronaldo's working styles. According to Erden, their analysis revealed that Ronaldo's playing style was not suitable for the team.

Cristiano wanted to apply high pressure, but statistics showed that he was weak in sprinting. Therefore, he did not fit into the 4-4-2 formation proposed by Pirlo.

Instead, Alvaro Morata fit better into his tactical plan. It is known that Ronaldo left Juventus in 2021 and transferred to Manchester United.

That same year, Andrea Pirlo also ended his work at Juventus. These events show the changes that occurred within the team's internal affairs.
